Terms of Service

1. Agreement and eligibility

These Terms govern your use of commentfinder.app and its related services. By using CommentFinder, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. You must be legally able to enter this agreement and provide accurate account information.

2. The service

CommentFinder helps users retrieve and search public comments and available replies from supported YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram posts. Platforms and retrieval providers control what is available. We do not promise that every comment or reply will be returned, that a platform will remain supported, or that results will be complete, uninterrupted, or error-free. Purchased credit packs also unlock the premium workspace, including exports, saved searches, advanced filters, higher supported limits, and optional AI analysis. Premium tools can change as providers, costs, and platform access change.

3. Accounts and acceptable use

You are responsible for activity under your account. Do not misuse CommentFinder, bypass usage limits, interfere with the service, probe credentials or infrastructure, automate access outside the provided interface, resell access without written permission, violate platform rules or applicable law, or use results to harass, discriminate against, or unlawfully profile people. We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect the service, users, providers, or legal compliance.

4. Credits

New accounts receive one free TikTok or Instagram retrieval, capped at 100 returned comments and replies. A successful retrieval consumes that one-time trial even if it returns fewer results; a provider failure does not. YouTube comment searches do not use credits or consume the trial. After the trial, each TikTok or Instagram top-level comment or nested reply returned uses one purchased credit. Before those retrievals, CommentFinder may verify that your balance can cover the configured result limit. Your balance is reduced only by the number of comments and replies returned. Credits have no scheduled expiry, are not legal tender, have no cash value, and cannot be transferred between accounts unless we explicitly agree.

5. Purchases and automatic top-ups

Credit packs are one-time purchases in the currency and amount shown at checkout. Stripe processes payments. Auto top-up is optional and off by default. If you enable it after a successful purchase, you authorize CommentFinder and Stripe to charge your saved payment method for the selected pack when your balance falls below your chosen trigger, subject to your monthly cap. You can change or disable auto top-up from billing before a future trigger. A completed purchase unlocks the premium workspace for the purchasing account.

Taxes, currency conversion, and bank charges may apply. Contact support promptly about duplicate charges, missing credits, or other billing errors. Refund eligibility depends on applicable law and the circumstances of the request; credits already consumed may be considered when reviewing a request.

6. Public content and intellectual property

You retain rights in information you submit. YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, commenters, and other rights holders retain rights in platform content. CommentFinder provides search and links; it does not grant you rights to republish, exploit, or misuse third-party content. The CommentFinder service, interface, software, branding, and original materials remain protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

7. Third-party services

CommentFinder depends on services such as Google, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Apify, Supabase, Stripe, Vercel, Cloudflare, and Plausible. Their terms and policies may apply to your interactions with them. We are not responsible for third-party outages, policy changes, moderation decisions, deleted content, or unavailable APIs.

8. Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. CommentFinder is a retrieval tool, not a guarantee that a statement is accurate, authentic, lawful, or suitable for a decision. To the extent permitted by law, CommentFinder is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

9. Changes, suspension, and governing law

We may update the service and these Terms. Material changes may be communicated in-product or by email, and the effective date will be revised. You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end access for material breach, fraud, abuse, legal risk, provider requirements, or threats to service integrity. These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the applicable laws of the province or territory in which the service operator is established, without overriding mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.
